SGW are responsible for support to the lead master planning consultant, to prepare and submit Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) submissions and security co-ordination from the initial pre-concept, concept and detailed design phases of the project.
The entire Theme Park (TP) Zone, a 75 hectare site, with C2 reserved at 60.5 Ha. The Theme Park Zone lies in the middle of the Yas Island development, and will be composed of several private development sites and semi-public areas intended to service the zone. It is envisioned to house the best theme park within the GCC, and become a major tourist attraction, locally and regionally.
The client is ALDAR who have worked with the design team to develop a concept which envisions the TP Zone development to include the following major components:
• Water Park;
• Warner Bros. Theme Park;
• Additional Theme Park;
• Mixed use – Retail, Hotel and Dinner Theater;
• Parking servicing the Theme Park Zone.
